Plurry

This is our second season of the Plurry Jams, a unique and playful plum/cherry hybrid fruit from legacy Collins Family Orchards in Selah, WA, establish in 1905. My dear friend, Nina, who has been operating the farm's busiest market stands in Seattle for a decade, approached me this season, offering both the fruit and their excitement over this proprietary variety, which was not sold at markets due to their limited harvest.

If you love a chewy, bright, cherry jam, this is as close as you might get! The Plurry radiates a very distinctive translucent amber jewel tone. The raw plum is large and plump, with a dense, perfectly crunchy flesh. This yields one of our more textured jams, with the punchy quality of a cherry jam, but the visuals of plum.
